Timothée Chalamet [1] is officially making his London stage debut next year, and suddenly I have the urge to go to the theater. (Just a totally random coincidence, I'm sure.) On Wednesday, The Old Vic announced it will be the home of Amy Herzog's Pulitzer Prize-nominated play 4000 Miles when it debuts in April of next year, with Chalamet starring alongside BAFTA Award-winning Dame Eileen Atkins.

The play tells the story of 21-year-old Leo (Chalamet), who sets out to cycle across America at the beginning of Summer with his best friend. After weeks of no contact, Leo's 91-year-old grandmother Vera (Atkins) is surprised when he shows up on her Manhattan doorstep in the middle of the night — and so begins a moving story as the pair navigate life and grief together.

Chalamet has had a busy year, between a starring role in The King [2] and his role in the upcoming Greta Gerwig film Little Women [3]. 4000 Miles will open in London's The Old Vic theater on April 16, 2020.
