The Voice: This Singer's "Magical" Beatles Cover Earned Him a Quadruple Chair Turn

Few people who audition for The Voice [1] earn that coveted quadruple chair turn [2], but Thunderstorm Artis from Haleiwa, HI, did just that with his pitch-perfect cover of The Beatles' classic "Blackbird." In a sneak peek video of the blind auditions, Artis wowed the judges with his "magical" vocal control and the passionate twist he put on such a classic song. "Congratulations on being ridiculously talented," Blake Shelton said after turning around. "It sounded like it was prerecorded."

Given that his high note was as smooth as butter, it's easy to see why all four judges wanted him on their team. "We turned around that quickly because we're all very aware of what is standing on stage right now, which is someone who could win this competition," Kelly Clarkson [3] said as she tried to convince Artis to join her team. "There's nothing here really anyone is gonna do for you vocally what God has not already gifted you with naturally." Watch Artis's full audition here.
