Fortunately, home design trends aren't as fickle as fashion trends, or we would go broke constantly trying to update our homes! But they do evolve with each coming year, and one designer has some stunning home design predictions she hopes to see loom large in 2018. HGTV Home Town star Erin Napier [1] told POPSUGAR, "I hope we'll finally see people stepping away more from painted furniture [2] and toward the warmth of natural and stained wood. The organic movement in wood grain is art!"

As for what Erin's personally been gravitating towards, she exclaims, "I'm going through a major green moment. I'm obsessed with deep, moody greens that lean grey and just a little bit blue." Expect to see these verdant hues on season 2 of Home Town, which premieres Monday, Jan. 8 at 9 p.m., and also in the Napier's own home. "Helen's nursery will likely be painted deep green!" Erin says of her and co-star-slash-husband Ben's first child, a daughter due this Winter [3].
