Aydhun Byars has self-proclaimed superpowers, just like any other 5-year-old boy. Unlike a lot of other children, though, Aydhun had to put his actual powers of "love and peanut butter" to the test when his mother, Tarah Gunderlock, went into diabetic shock in their home. Though he has a medical condition that affects his hands, he dialed 911 and told the operator, "I don't know what Mom is doing, but I need someone's help."
The 911 operator helped Aydhun figure out his address, and the local fire department, who says that Gunderlock was unresponsive, provided care at the home. Aydhun told KMGH [1], "I was a little scared, but I was a lot calm. I just didn't know what to do."
Turns out he knew exactly what to do, and that intuition and courage saved his mom's life. Superhero success!
