Robbie Schloss and his wife, Kirsten, know the importance of capitalizing on good luck, and that's exactly what they did when they realized Bill Murray was sitting behind them at a Chicago Cubs playoff game on Oct. 9.
After casually chatting with the actor and comedian throughout the game, Schloss asked Murray for a favor: to help him and his wife announce their pregnancy to their parents via Instagram [2]. "I told Bill I needed him to make our pregnancy announcement. Kirsten struggled with fertility so we had decided not to make it public at first but this was too fun to pass up [3]," Schloss said in an interview with Today. "Bill gladly recorded the message for us and we got a few cheers from the crowd still standing around us."
Let's just say Murray delivered. The now-viral video shows the legendary actor sharing the good news: "Hey, I got news for you . . . you're going to be grandparents!" The father-to-be posted the video announcement on Instagram with the caption: "Thank you for making my parents cry! #babybottles coming April2018 #mywifethesportsfan @kjbarrish @williammurraygolf @jschlo3535 you're gonna be an uncle! #babyannouncement."
