When Cass was in the middle of her C-section operation to deliver her daughter, Raya, in 2016, her doctor urged her to take a photo of the baby as she was halfway out of her body. In the moment, Cass yelled for her fiancé, Ryan, to snap a photo, and what he captured is not only professional-looking, but extremely breathtaking. Cass shared the photo [2] with doula Katie Vigos, who then posted the photo to her blog's Instagram page, Empowered Birth Project. Cass told Katie of her birth experience: "It was all very surreal. She is such an amazing gift. This is my second C-section [3]. I hope this photo honors those before me and gives inspiration and strength to those pregnant or to deliver in the future [4]."

No matter how many C-section birth photos [5] we see, we can't seem to get over just how incredible these births truly are.
