"My daughter has to wear an eye patch. Tried to make the best of it," Geof Grubb wrote as the accompanying caption for the album he uploaded to Reddit last week [1], appropriately titled "Patches." Geof's 10-month-old daughter, Layla, was born with a small cataract in one of her eyes, so her doctor advised that her parents cover the other with a patch until the weaker eye develops. The process could take up to five years [2], Geof told Huffington Post.
While the circumstances are no doubt frustrating for the entire family, they've made the best of it, with the good-humored (and creative!) Dad giving Layla a new look on a daily basis. Check out the best of Layla and Geof's patch art — it's sure to make you smile.
