Transform Your Daughter's Hair Into a Disney-Themed 'Do

Keep reading to learn how to re-create four adorable hairstyles, with tutorials excerpted from the books.

Anna's Braids

Divide the hair into two sections. Make a shallow side part at the front. If you have a light hair lock or a ribbon, by all means fasten it in the hair on one side.
Bring all the hair on one side over the ear and divide it into three parts. Braid the hair with the lock closest to the face added first into the braid.
Put a small elastic band on the end.
Take a small lock from below the elastic band and wrap it around it.
Pin the end down by placing a bobby pin behind the braid and pressing it. You can also use a small rubber band, which holds longer.

Mulan's Bun

Gather all the hair in a high ponytail.
Tie a pretty ribbon around the elastic with a knot.
Take one end of the ribbon with the hair, leaving the other end loose. Divide the hair in two and use the ribbon for the third part of the braid.
Braid the ribbon and the hair together down the length of the ponytail. Tie with an elastic band at the end.
Make a bun out of the braid up by the elastic band.
Take both ends of the ribbon and tie a knot.
Fix the ribbon as you please and cut it to size.

Elsa's Icy Braid

Curl the hair with medium-sized curling tongs. It's best to start at the bottom and work your way to the top.
Lightly backcomb the hair at the top by the root.
Take a hold of three fairly large locks of hair from the sides and start making a french braid.
Add fairly large locks to the braid and keep it quite loose.
Continue making the braid down the length of the hair.
Pull the ends of the braid. It works well to hold onto the end of the braid with one hand while pulling its ends with the other hand.
Put a small elastic band at the end.

Tiana's Bun

Put all the hair up in a high ponytail.
Put a hair doughnut around the ponytail and pin it down loosely.
Distribute the hair from the ponytail over the doughnut and pin the hair against the doughnut. It works well to fold the hair into the doughnut to conceal the ends.
Pin the hair securely all the way around.
