There are only 77 more days until Christmas (sorry for the reminder!), and while your kids are counting down the days to ripping open presents, the only thing parents are dreading more than holiday shopping is actually putting the toys together. Yup, just when you think your job is done, the kids turn to you to work your way through ridiculously complex diagrams of how "easy" it is to put the 1,000-piece toy together.

No toy has caused as much frustration — or probably sent as many parents down the road to divorce — as the Barbie Dreamhouse. That big, beautiful, overwhelmingly pink monstrosity has been the bane of parents' existence for at least 40 years. My father still tells the tale of staying up all night to put together my 1980s version of the house [1] and how he almost took a hammer to it.

The funny ladies of What's Up Moms [2] and Baby Sideburns [3] have perfectly captured the utter frustration that comes with assembling a toy that is more complex than an Ikea crib [4]. Our favorite part of the video, step four, is putting together the elevator. Baby Sideburns is right; Barbie can take the stairs!
