Thigh gap [1] — and the fact that the empty space is often photoshopped into images of fashion models and celebrities — has been a popular topic of conversation among teens for some time, but did a Huggies advertisement really just go there with a baby's thighs?

Just a friendly reminder: Huggies is a brand for babies, so the fact that its latest ad featuring a baby's diapered bottom looks like it could have potentially been manipulated is getting the Internet talking. Reddit user spittingpigeon posted a screenshot of her phone with the email ad from Huggies [2] with the question, "Is it just me or did this Huggies ad photoshop thigh gap on a toddler?", which has commenters talking and sharing theories:

I think they shopped the diaper on, which created the weirdness.

Lots of skinny babies out there, but with this photo the legs look fatter further down. It definitely looks anatomically odd to me.

My toddler (22 months) has a "thigh gap." He's small and also has incredibly thin little "chicken legs" and would probably look like this if he put his knees together.

Either those knees are up incredibly high, the diaper is incredibly low, or that poor child has been photoshopped.

Despite the back and forth on Reddit, a Huggies representative said that there wasn't any airbrushing [3] as far as they know: "We always use real-life customers and users of our products, and do not airbrush the bodies of the babies in our advertising and photography. All babies are different. We look to celebrate those differences and everyday real-life tests and messes in our photography and communication."
