Every family has its list of holiday must dos, whether it's visiting Santa at the local mall, putting out your great-grandmother's Christmas china, or just the annual ritual of counting down the days on an advent calendar [3]. Every mom can agree that these traditions make the holiday extra special [4], including Fixer Upper star and Magnolia Home Paint by KILZ [5] creator Joanna Gaines. We recently asked the design guru and mother of four which family tradition she's most looking forward to this year, and you'll totally be able to relate to her answer: preparing holiday meals with her daughters.
Joanna told us, "Our family loves to host dinner parties and small gatherings with friends during the Christmas season, and I always look forward to baking old family cookie recipes and mixing up delicious recipes with Ella and Emmie." Judging by the recipes in the Winter issue of The Magnolia Journal [6], we're betting it's some mouthwatering fare the Gaines gals are whipping up!
