Hoda Kotb Was Moved to Tears by Kelly Clarkson's Song Inspired by Her Children's Book

Mar 24 2018 - 9:55am

Just over a year after adopting her daughter Haley Joy [1], Hoda Kotb wrote a touching children's book in her honor titled I've Loved You Since Forever. To make matters that much more emotional, now Kelly Clarkson [2] has recorded a lullaby inspired by the book [3].

Shortly after writing I've Loved You Since Forever, the Today anchor said she thought, "Wouldn't that be cool if someone could sing the book?" That's when Kelly — incredible singer and mom of two — came into the picture.

In addition to releasing a music video, shown above, the Today crew also followed Kelly into the studio for a behind-the-scenes look. Hoda even got in on the action by recording a shaker in the background! As she thanked Kelly for translating her book into song, Hoda began to cry, causing Kelly to cry, now we're crying, and — just a heads up — you'll probably cry too after watching it.
