It doesn't matter what team you're rooting for in the NBA Finals, Kyle Lowry's exchange with a 13-year-old fan will make you smile. Over the weekend, the Toronto Raptors point guard sat down for interviews with the media ahead of the fifth game of the series Monday night. But in a sea of reporters asking the 33-year-old player ubiquitous, predictable questions, one teenager's profound inquiry left Kyle in awe. Representing CBC Kids News, Arjun Ram asked Kyle [1], "Mr. Lowry, how does it feel to be an icon all over Canada to kids?"

When most reporters asked Kyle about his team's ability to upset the superstar Golden State Warriors [2] and how he feels about the possibility of Kevin Durant returning to play, Arjun's heartfelt question struck a chord with everyone in the room [3]. "That's a crazy question. I've never been asked that one," Kyle said.

"I was once a kid, I was once in your shoes," the basketball player said. "And to know kids one day will want to be like me, I hold myself to a super high standard. I want kids and I want you to see a man that's really professional, really about his business, but at the same time, he's still fun and loving at everything else." Not only is Kyle an icon, but he's truly a role model. Watch the sweet exchange ahead.
