Free of clips, straps, and buttons, this baby carrier from Lalabu [3] ($65, originally $70) consists of an extra piece of stretchy fabric built into a t-shirt. That's it!

However, the genius clothing item isn't exactly the same as a typical baby carrier [4]. The Lalabu website calls its "Soothe Shirt" an "all-in-one babywearing shirt that's both a nursing tank for mom and a cozy carrying pouch for baby," and states that it's intended for newborn babies weighing up to 15 pounds [5]. In addition, the company recommends that parents always keep one hand on their baby during use, even though the kangaroo-like pouch does support much of the baby's weight.

So you can't exactly carry a toddler hands free, but hey, it's still a pretty damn clever idea.
