Line We Love: Lindsey Berns's Styles For Boho Babes
Cool kids-wear designer Lindsey Berns only debuted her collection for little girls two years ago, but it's quickly become favorite of in-the-know fashionable mamas — including celeb stylist Estee Stanley and designer Jenni Kayne, who recently featured Lindsey's latest collection on their new kids fashion site Ladys & Gents.
Lindsey — whose design pedigree includes her former collection of handbags, women's apparel, and lingerie that was sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, Henri Bendel, and Fred Segal — was inspired to create her line by her own childhood wardrobe of patchwork jackets handmade from vintage quilts, vintage blue jeans, and white linen pinafores, and the collection has stayed true to that classic Franco-bohemian style ever since. In the Spring/Summer collection, look for rickrack tunics with beaded ties, picnic-printed dresses and pantaloons, and peasant blouses that will make you wish Lindsey would come out with a mommy line to match.
