This Mom Breastfeeding as She Walks the Sports Illustrated Runway in a Bikini Screams "GIRL POWER!"

Model Mara Martin is no stranger to posing in beautiful swimsuits, but the gold bikini she recently sported may just be her most memorable yet. Sporting a stunning one-shoulder two-piece, Mara walked during the 2018 Sports Illustrated Swim Search show as a "Sweet 16 finalist" with her 5-month-old daughter breastfeeding in her arms, and to say people are obsessed is an understatement. Although the new mom is shocked to be making headlines "for something I do every day," the video footage of her strutting her stuff with Aria in tow has us screaming, "YAASSS, honey!"

Sports Illustrated posted the now-viral "GIRL POWER!" moment on its page just hours after Mara shared with her followers on Instagram that she made it into the group of 16 finalists. "The face you make when your mom makes it to the final 16 of the [Sports Illustrated] Swim Search!" Mara wrote alongside a photo of her and a smiley Aria. "I'm so, so, so thankful for the entire team at Sports Illustrated for picking me!"

The day after the show, Mara woke up to headlines much like the one above, praising her for her total power move in breastfeeding Aria while showing off the beautiful sparkly bikini at five months postpartum.

"Wow! WHAT A NIGHT! Words can't even describe how amazing I feel . . . I can't believe I am waking up to headlines with me and my daughter in them for doing something I do every day. It is truly so humbling and unreal to say the least," she wrote. "I'm so grateful to be able to share this message and hopefully normalize breastfeeding and also show others that women CAN DO IT ALL!"

"I'm so grateful to be able to share this message and hopefully normalize breastfeeding and also show others that women CAN DO IT ALL!"

The mom continues, noting that the reason she's so shocked at the headlines is that she doesn't feel she should be a headline, as there were more deserving women who walked as part of the Sweet 16 with their own incredible stories. "My story of being a mother and feeding her while walking is just that. . . . One woman is going to boot camp in two weeks to serve our country . . . one woman had a mastectomy and another is a cancer survivor, two-time paralympic gold medalist, as well as a mother herself. . . . Those are the stories that our world should be discussing!!!! Just thinking about all that was represented there."

Mara ended her post with a nod to Sports Illustrated for giving her and the other finalists this opportunity and for setting an amazing example for her young daughter.

"THANK YOU for letting all 16 of us be our true selves: strong, beautiful women!!! Because of you, my daughter is going to grow up in a better world, where she will always feel this way!!!!!! Lastly, to every single woman that rocked that runway with me. Be proud. I know I am of you! You all have inspired me in ways unimaginable. I love you all!!!"
