If your child was deathly ill, you'd do anything to save her, including asking friends and family for help and remortgaging your home. Andrew and Ruth, parents of an adorable toddler named Sophie Roberts, have already exhausted those options paying for her medical treatment. But her disease, hepatoblastoma (a very rare and life threatening form of liver cancer), is so far gone that they've run out of treatment options in their native United Kingdom. They are now trying to raise the nearly $360,000 needed for a life-saving surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Sophie needs to have the surgery as soon as possible, which means the family needs to raise the money by July 13th.
