If there's one thing we love about Pink (OK, there are a lot of things) it's her transparency as a parent [3]. The mother of two has never shied away from keeping it real about how hard jugging it all can be — not to mention the onslaught of criticism she often receives as a mom — and a recent Instagram post in which she sarcastically calls out the "parenting police" has us giving her a standing ovation.
Pink posted a photo of her 8-year-old daughter Willow happily running through water, and it's her caption that's worth calling out. In it, Pink gets ahead of the ostensible parent-shamers [4] by jokingly shaming herself for letting her daughter experience joy. Joy? How dare she!
"Here's a picture of my child running through water. It wasn't even filtered. What a waste of water. And no helmet? I hope she had sunscreen. If she slips and falls she may be traumatized for life. And her mother wasn't even there. I was..... gasp....working!!!! In another country," Pink writes.
