If you've ever had that urge to look at your phone at the park but didn't — not because you were so enthralled with watching your kids on the playground but out of fear of what the other mothers might think — this woman gets you.

If you've ever stressed about the baby weight, left dirty dishes in the sink because you're running late, or contemplated antidepressants — this woman understands you. Constance Hall is a real mom who can relate to all of these struggles that come with parenthood. But instead of working through them in private, this bold mama is using her experience to call out the hardships and honor all of the other women who are going through them with an open letter on Facebook [3].

"To the woman at the park, looking at her phone, ignoring her children, I salute you," Hall wrote. "For not giving into the public perception that you should be switched on, 24 hours a day."

Not only is this Australian mother of four all too familiar with the difficulties of "parent sex [4]," but she also understands that dealing with postpartum depression can be beyond trying. "Postnatal depression is a rude little c*nt," she wrote. "You are still coping, do not confuse depression for not coping, you've taken action, you look like a coping queen to me. Too often strength and weakness are confused, strength is asking for help. You are so strong. So many women are going through the exact same thing; they just don't talk about it."

And for the mothers who are simply feeling down about their bodies, Hall wants them to keep one thing in mind: a brand-new, 24-hour job that doesn't pay and won't end for around 20 years is not a good time to give up cake. "Eat the cake, eat the whole f*cking cake and f*ck off anyone who dares to say anything," Hall wrote. "Your post-baby body is not all the sudden free for public commentary."

Hall signed the letter as a fellow mom — whose days are full of "mammoth fails and micro-victories, yet whose heart still manages to repeatedly explode for the mini army of love all day."
