This Mom's Grocery-Themed Maternity Shoot Is Hilarious to Anyone Who's Ever Had Pregnancy Cravings

When Amy Scott realized she was pregnant with her third son, she decided that she wanted to take a more laid-back approach to her maternity photos this time around. She enlisted the help of Lauren Giles, a photographer based in Texas, to make her dream photo shoot a reality. And the end result, which took place in the aisles of their local grocery store, is nothing short of amazing.

"The idea for the grocery store maternity shoot came after mom and I had a brainstorming session," Lauren told POPSUGAR. "She knew she wanted to capture her last pregnancy, but she wasn't a big fan of dressing up and being in a beautiful field, which is really popular right now. After discussing Amy's cravings and where she spends most her time, we came up with the idea."

Amy agreed that her main priority was comfort. "I wanted to be true to myself and comfortable in my own skin," she explained. "Glamorous photo shoots are not me and all I want to do right now is eat, so basing the shoot around my cravings seemed perfect."

As for narrowing down a favorite aisle? Well, that was a different story.

"My cravings for each pregnancy have been different so I never know what to expect! My favorite part of the shoot was being able to sit down and chow down on my favorite ice cream in the middle of the grocery store," she said. Lauren and I were laughing the entire time!"

Without further ado, the duo headed to their local H-E-B grocery store and got busy snapping some photos that any hungry mom-to-be will be completely envious of.

"I loved getting really creative with the photography session," said Lauren. "I love that the mom felt at ease and comfortable in her skin. That was the most important to me."
