At 35 weeks pregnant, Megan Meier had her hands full with her 3-year-old girl, especially since her husband was out of town [1]. But despite her third-trimester status and her kid's babysitter falling through, this sports medicine physician was determined to do her job.
The Oklahoma City doctor [2] was scheduled to provide sideline coverage for a local high school football game when circumstances left her with no child-care coverage. Instead of canceling on work, she showed up with her baby bump and toddler strapped to her back [3] to care for all of the players. Megan shared the photo with a group of physician moms as a visual representation of what they do each and every day, and the impressive photo has since gone viral.
"I really believe that you can have it all and find a great balance to a multi-faceted career and life," Megan wrote on Facebook. "However, it takes a lot of hard work and improvisation at times. Most importantly, it takes a strong community of people supporting each other to make it work."
