If you ever had the thought that hand-me-downs [1] were a foreign concept to those in the limelight, just ask Princess Charlotte what she thinks about that! The 3-year-old princess was photographed with her family for their annual Christmas card [2] wearing an adorable navy blue sweater with white detailing on the neckline, but it's definitely not one she took the tags off of that morning. The cardigan — which she also wore in her first photos with her baby brother, Louis [3] — actually belonged to Prince George first. The now 5-year-old was just 2 when he posed for portraits taken in honor of Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday [4] in April 2016 wearing the same sweater over a collared white shirt.
At this rate, it's only a matter of time until Prince Louis is photographed wearing the cardigan! If your kids ever complain about getting hand-me-downs [5] from their older siblings, just tell them that even princes and princesses have to share clothes — it's sure to make them rethink the concept.
