As someone with a unique and sometimes-difficult-to-spell name [2], I can personally attest to the struggle that was learning how to write that name. While the Emilys and Ryans of my elementary class were signing their easy names, I was still stuck on trying to fit all my letters in the name box on worksheets. Reese Witherspoon's son, whose name is that of a US state, is having a bit of a hard time himself; and though it's beyond sweet, we can't stop laughing.

"When your name is TENNESSEE, it's a bit tricky to learn how to spell it," Witherspoon captioned an Instagram photo of Tennessee holding up a piece of paper [3] with a dubious looking "TENN" written on it in green marker. Although his T looks more like an S, his E looks like a ladder more than a letter, and the second N is underneath the first, the little preschooler looks to be doing his best. We firmly believe that he'll get the hang of spelling his geographical name [4] and will learn to properly space it out on paper soon — all nine letters.
