We're Cheering After Reading What Dwayne Johnson Wrote to Jasmine For Women's Equality Day

Aug 30 2018 - 10:10am

Dwayne Johnson's nickname may be The Rock, but ironically, he's the first person to admit that other people, namely the women in his life, are his rocks. The dad of three girls is never above shouting out Lauren Hashian for being a wonderful mother [1], and he constantly shares that he's teaching his girls that they can be strong, independent women who achieve their wildest dreams. So it's no surprise that in honor of Women's Equality Day on Aug. 26, Johnson posted a manifesto for his middle child, Jasmine, in particular, outlining all she can be.

In the caption of a photo of him and his 2-year-old, he wrote:

She can be anything she wants.
She can sit at any table.
She can trailblaze a path, while humbly and gratefully recognizing those before her who paved the way.
She and her big sister, Simone and her baby sister, Tiana Gia, will always have a strong voice and always make a positive impact.

Hear that? That's us cheering for a supportive (and adorable) dad who builds up his girls.

Johnson, always one to throw a little humor into everything he does, nodded to what's going on in the photo he shared by adding, "She can also just forcefully shove a buttery, delicious croissant in Daddy's mouth when Daddy is on a very strict diet."

Keep reading to see a few of his other supportive and swoon-worthy posts to the women in his life.
