Summer Infant, a Rhode Island-based manufacturer, just recalled the Lil' Luxuries Whirpool, Bubbling Spa and Shower [1] after 11 babies bumped their heads when the tub's headrest detached. Although no other injuries or drownings have been reported, Summer Infant recalled over 86,000 units [2] after realizing that the fabric sling that attaches the headrest to the tub was missing an important white clip.
The affected bathtubs were sold for $65 on the Summer Infant website and at Babies"R"Us, Amazon, Walmart, and other major retailers. Summer Infant is offering a free replacement of any recalled tubs (you can receive a replacement by filling out this form [3]).
