15 Things We Wish Our Kids Would Say

Dec 16 2014 - 4:32am

We've heard some interesting things come from the mouths of babes, be it an adorable mispronunciation [1] or an amusing description of their anatomy [2]. However, there are some things that we never hear our children say, like a request for more vegetables or a promise to go to bed on time. It's a shame, too, because those words would be music to our mommy ears. We've rounded up some things we wish our children would tell us but rarely do. What expression would you most want to hear?

I should clean my room.

More vegetables, please!

I'll behave.

I'll let you pee in peace.

I'm ready to go.

Mom's on the phone. We should be quiet.

Let's watch something other than Frozen.

I'm going to start my project that's due in two weeks.

I'm not bored.

I should go to the bathroom before we leave.

Let's give some of these toys away.

I don't need dessert.

That's OK. I don't need a second bedtime story.

I'll sleep in my own bed tonight.

Mom, you're right.
