May 5 2018 - 10:40am

Juggling a job, babies [1], family, and personal time [2] is the norm for most parents these days, which is why bringing in some extra help is sometimes the answer. If you're in a position to search for, hire, and work with a nanny, then you've likely done the research involved to pinpoint candidates who might be a good fit. Since this individual will be spending lots of time with your children [3], a rigorous screening process is a must.

Hiring a nanny creates an employee/employer [4] dynamic between you and whomever you hire; therefore, approaching the meeting as an interview where references, résumés, and proper responses are expected is totally acceptable.
