It's been over six months since The Bachelor [2]'s Arie Luyendyk Jr. announced that he and his wife Lauren were expecting a baby [3] together, but Lauren has been keeping us up-to-date with adorable bump photos on baby girl's very own Instagram [4] account. Now that she's finally here [5], we can expect cuteness in a whole different form on Baby Luyendyk's account, and might even see a handle change now that she has a name: Alessi Ren Luyendyk.
"This was first time she laid eyes on me and I'm forever changed," Arie captioned his first photo of his daughter — taken by photographer Jennifer Perkins [6] — who was given a Greek first name that means "defender." [7] It's a unique and rarely given name [8], but completely gorgeous (and not hard to pronounce [9] at all!).
Arie and Lauren tied the knot [11] in January of this year after getting engaged on After the Final Rose [12] in March 2018. Their whirlwind romance has looked completely blissful up until now, and we can only imagine that little Alessi is going to shake things up in the best possible way. Congratulations to the whole Luyendyk family!
