Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton is a mom of three [2]! Chelsea announced on Twitter that she and her husband Marc Mezvinsky welcomed a son [3] on the morning of July 22, and we love his name: Jasper Clinton Mezvinsky.
The name Jasper — which is believed to have Persian origins [4] and translate to "bringer of treasure" — straddles the line between popular and uncommon names [5] these days, but is definitely on the rise [6]. In 2016, the name sat in the 209 slot for most popular boys' names [7] of the year, followed by a ranking of 184 in 2017 and 154 in 2018. Looks like Chelsea chose a cute name that we might just hear more and more of in the next few years.
