Winnie-the-Pooh is meeting Queen Elizabeth II [1] for the first time in a brand-new adventure to celebrate the 90th birthdays of both the beloved icons. The two are coming together in a new illustrated book, Winnie-the-Pooh and the Royal Birthday.
In the story written by Jane Riordan and illustrated by Mark Burgess, Pooh and his iconic friends — Christopher Robin, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet — embark on a journey from the Hundred Acre Wood to Buckingham Palace to hand-deliver birthday honors to the queen. Before being greeted by Queen Elizabeth though, Pooh and friends go on trips to iconic landmarks, including Big Ben and Trafalgar Square. Of course, a visit to Buckingham Palace wouldn't be complete without Prince George [2], who also makes an adorable appearance [3] in the story.
While it is not yet known if the book will be available in print for avid collectors, you and your family can enjoy the memories of Winnie-the-Pooh (and take an imaginary trip to London) by downloading it [4] for free online and listening along to the audiobook [5]. Keep reading to listen in and to get a glimpse of some of the enchanting illustrations from the new classic.
