Alanis Morissette's New Song Is Amazing, but Her Toddler's Cameo in the Video Is Even Better

Alanis Morissette is back at it with her first studio album in eight years, and she's commemorating the release of Such Pretty Forks in the Road with a sweet family moment. On the July 30 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the singer and mom of three debuted a single off her new album called "Ablaze," and as she performed from home, she had a special guest: her 4-year-old daughter, Onyx.

After Jimmy's introduction, Alanis could be seen with her equipment set up in what looked like her home library, a headphones-clad Onyx attached to her hip. Throughout the performance, Onyx was the epitome of a peanut gallery, chatting away, making timely comments, and adorably asking her mama questions. Alanis sang through the entire song, which is about her three children [1], and though the song finished, it was only with Onyx's express permission that Alanis could cease performing. Sounds about right!

Watch the video above all the way through to see Alanis's full performance and listen to Onyx's sweet chatter.
