After Anderson Cooper [1] shared that he was gearing up to be a guest host of Jeopardy! [2] this week on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, [3] the two-time Celebrity Jeopardy! champion gave an update on his 11-month-old son, Wyatt, [4] and his friendship with Andy Cohen. He discussed that he plans to throw Wyatt a party in honor of his first birthday on April 27 and how Andy brings his son over on the weekends [5].
"Andy comes over with his son, Benjamin, every weekend. Usually on Sundays, but sometimes Saturdays. He's been doing this now for, really this past year, but I've started to realize he's just coming over 'cause he doesn't know what else to do with his son with all this time, you know, with [these] yawning chasms of time that he's had," explained Anderson. "The last time he called up, he was like, 'Oh, can I come over?' and I was like, 'Yeah, what do you want to do?' And he goes, 'I'd like to do about three hours.'"
In fact, Andy is apparently open to hanging out at Anderson's house when he's not even there! The 53-year-old news anchor also explained that because Andy's son is already over the age of 2, they really need to keep an eye on their little ones.
"That's like a huge gap in ages at that age," he said, confirming that Benjamin has previously gotten himself into a little bit of mischief. "I probably should not say this, but . . . somebody gave my son a bear that talked or clapped, and my son hadn't even played with it, and all of a sudden, there's this smell and some smoke. And we realized that Andy's son has taken my son's bear, put it in the microwave, and turned it on," he said through a laugh. "He baked the bear. It was in there for 10 seconds . . . Kids do the darndest things!"
