Blake Lively's Powerful Message to 1 Mom About Her Infant's Unexpected Death

As parents to two young girls, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds understand the importance of child safety and are using their public platforms to send a message to parents. After taking a course focused on infant and toddler CPR, the beloved celebrity couple recently shared an important plea to all parents urging them to do the same — no matter where you live or how old your child is.

"Google 'infant CPR class near me' and you'll see lots of listings. For those of you who haven't done it, you will love it," the actress wrote on Instagram. "It's so helpful by giving you knowledge, tools, and some peace of mind."

But for her husband, this course wasn't the first time his lifesaving skills were tested. "Years ago, I took a CPR course thru the Red Cross. And holy sh*t, I ended up saving my nephew's life because I knew what to do!" Ryan wrote in his own Instagram post after taking a refresher course.

The couple's efforts to raise awareness for CPR education have inspired other parents to share their personal stories. "I had to do CPR on our two and a half-month-old daughter that had passed away, and I wish I knew how to do this before," Instagram user Emily Hutchinson commented.

Blake responded directly to the grieving mom, highlighting the importance of moms supporting each other. "Thank you, because when you share your story, we can all lean on each other as mamas. We can also communicate and find ways to best protect each and all our babies together with what we've each experienced."
