This Secret Garden-Themed Soiree Gives "Ladies Who Lunch" a Whole New Meaning
There's something especially whimsical about throwing a Secret Garden-themed tea party for your kids, and Marci Cochran went above and beyond when it came to planning her daughter's bash — right down to the china.
Each child ate and drank from their own family heirloom plates and tea cups (gorgeous!) and she clocked in some serious kitchen time making and decorating cupcakes, cakes, and sandwiches. She also went the extra mile, adding wildflowers that were picked the day of. Cochran gave each guest goodies that were made by a local cafe and covered an antique door with vintage lace and decorations. She also hired an actress who pretended to be British and taught girls proper tea party etiquette and told them stories about the queen — talk about royal treatment!
