Christmas hasn't come to an end just yet for James Van Der Beek and his family [1]. The Dawson's Creek alum recently took to the road for a special RV trip with his wife, Kimberly, and his five children, 1-year-old Gwendolyn, 3-year-old Emilia, 6-year-old Annabel Leah, 7-year-old Joshua, and 9-year-old Olivia. Both parents shared photos from the first two days of the trip on Instagram; on Thursday, James shared a snap of himself filling up the RV's gas tank in a Christmas-themed onesie, while Kimberly posted a separate slideshow featuring pictures of the family hanging out in a park on their second day.
"Day two of our RV Christmas trip," she wrote. "Last week I could barely get out of bed. Today, grounding on the river bedrock, watching the kids play, having @vanderjames family visit our campsite, getting a nap in the back of our RV With Gwen, fed the soul so hard. Got the bliss I asked for."
Back in November, the couple, who have been married for almost 10 years, revealed that they'd suffered a miscarriage [2] with their sixth child on the way. A few weeks later, James opened up about the family's healing process [3] on social media. "Still in repair," he captioned a photo of himself and his wife standing in front of a sunset on the beach. "Discovering that healing happens at its own pace. Not the pace you'd like, and definitely not the pace at which the world keeps on moving . . . But it happens."
