In a lengthy profile in Esquire, the 37-year-old comedian and writer confirmed that the program is inspired by shows like 3-2-1 Contact and Sesame Street, because obviously. Titled John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch, John assured his fans that it will appeal to kids and adults alike, and feature sketches as well as musical bits. There's also a handful of celebrities making an apperance in the show, including, Jake Gyllenhaal [3], David Byrne, Annaleigh Ashford, André De Shields, Richard Kind, Natasha Lyonne, and Shereen Pimentel.
