Dax Shepard has reached a big milestone — no, it's not his and Kristen Bell [2]'s wedding anniversary or his birthday, but Dax is marking 16 years of sobriety, and it's truly something to be proud of [3]. Kristen recently shared a sweet message for her husband's "sober birthday," and it featured some fabulous artwork from their daughters [4].
"Today is my husband's 16th sobriety birthday. My daughter woke him up with this sign, and a sketch of the one and only Ronald Weasley (absolutely random, and also perfect). Happy birthday Daxy. Thank you for dedicating your life to the hard and wonderful work of sobriety, so that we could share it with you. Xo K, L & D," she wrote alongside the sign.
Kristen and Dax have been incredibly open about his sobriety [5], but with their two daughters Lincoln and Delta [6] celebrating him, it's clear this anniversary was a special one. Back in 2018, the now-40-year-old actress shared a heartfelt message about Dax's journey and how proud she was of his longtime feat. "I know how much you loved using. I know how much it got in your way. And I know, because I saw, how hard you worked to live without it."
