Do at Home: Back Writing
Benefits: Builds focus and concentration; engages positive touch; promotes literacy and spelling skills
What to Do: "Sit down behind your child and use your index finger to firmly write letters or simple shapes on his back, and have him guess what you have written. For older children, try writing full words or even sentences! No matter the age of your child, try adding more challenge over time as you gauge his ability to successfully guess what you write or draw."
