No Matter How Old J Lo's Twins Get, They'll Always Be Her "Lil' Coconuts"

Not only is Jennifer Lopez a world-renowned singer, dancer, actress, and all-around entertainer, but she's also a proud mother to twins Emme and Maximilian Muñiz — whom she refers to as her "lil' coconuts." The "Shotgun Wedding" star shares her two kids with her ex Marc Anthony, who she was in a relationship with for seven years. While the couple split in 2011 and finalized their divorce three years later, they remain close friends and continue to coparent their children together.
"Honestly, we're always gonna be great friends," Lopez told host Kelly Ripa on "Live With Kelly and Ryan" in 2017. "I'm always gonna be there for him; he's always gonna be there for me. We share something very special in the kids, and we know that. We're there for them, and that's the main thing."
In December 2019, Anthony affirmed that he and Lopez's coparenting relationship was in a good place when he posted a family photo of the two on Instagram captioned, "Nothing but love between us @jlo."
Prior to her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck, Lopez raised her children alongside Alex Rodriguez's two daughters, Natasha and Ella Rodriguez, while she and A-Rod were dating. They split in April 2021, and Lopez has established a new blended family with her twins; fiancé Affleck; his son, Samuel; and his two daughters, Violet and Seraphina — whom he shares with his ex Jennifer Garner.

Emme Maribel Muñiz
Lopez gave birth to Emme on Feb. 22, 2008. On her twins' 10th birthday, the singer said of Emme: "You are my soul, my inner child personified, the most joyful, deep, and sensitive human being I have ever met . . . and I adore everything about you — your artistry, your independence, your strength, and your sensitive spirit."
At the 2020 Super Bowl, Emme — who seems to be following in their mama's talented footsteps — made a surprise cameo during their mom's halftime show set, at just 11 years old. They took part in a mashup of Lopez's "Let's Get Loud" and Shakira's "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)."

Emme's twin brother, Max, who has the same birthday, also got a special message from Lopez on his 10th birthday that gave us insight into the kind of kid he is. "Max, you are my heart, my love, and my light . . . you brighten up every day for me with your kindness and caring, your love and awareness. Your energy is unmatched, your sense of humor makes everyone around you laugh, and I marvel at your depth of understanding of people and the world. My old soul, my beautiful boy."
While staying at home with his family in early 2020, Max showed off his playful and silly personality in a video Lopez shared via Instagram. Then made us collectively "awww" at the photos and videos taken of him with his dog, Tyson.
Max and Emme turned 13 in 2021, and Lopez celebrated them, once again, with breakfast in bed and some pretty amazing gifts. Her message to them on Instagram, however, may have been the most special part of all. "My beautiful babies are teenagers today!!" she captioned their birthday video. "OMG!! I can't believe it's been 13 years since I carried them both home in my arms in the middle of a snowstorm. Out of that blizzard came two perfect lil' coconuts who rearranged my life and taught me the true meaning of love."
