Help! I Need Shoes For My Bridesmaids

Time to play stylist, ladies. Help Calichic4825 find shoes for her bridesmaids.

Hi! My wedding is in two months and I have yet to find shoes for the bridesmaids to wear with their dresses. Here is their Bebe dress. I need six pairs of the same shoe. If you can please give me websites, or simply tell me the color and style of shoe you would recommend. Thank you so much for the help ladies!

There are already a bunch of groups you can join and explore, and please — start some new ones! Here's a helpful guide to creating in case you need some clarification.

I also vote let them choose their own shoes, especially if you ask them to buy something that can easily look similar and are easy to find like a gold strappy sandal or a nude pump. I actually hate the whole "flipflops during the reception" thing - I'd much rather dance in a low, well-made heel that I chose and can wear again than a sloppy flipflop. I also hate being forced to buy and wear a pair of cheaply made uncomfortable heels - I don't shop at payless for a reason and I'd rather not be forced to dance in their shoes, but I know other people who wouldn't want to spend $200 on a pair of shoes and would much prefer a cheap option. Letting each bridesmaid choose just makes the process less annoying for everyone.

I agree with the people who suggested nude shoes. And, I don't see anything wrong with asking them all to wear the same shoe, but I would do a lower heel if you're planning on doing that; I always wear high heels, but I think some of the ones suggested by others have been too high. If even one of your girls doesn't like high heels, she'll look and feel uncomfortable when walking down the aisle. I also think black, deep purple, or silver would work. I'm not sure if you're already planning on this, but in all of the weddings I've been in (and most I've been to), the bride has gotten flip-flips for the bridesmaids to wear during the reception; always a nice touch! Recently, I went to a wedding where the bride got all of the girls silver Toms to wear during the reception, which was also nice.

Another vote for: let them choose their own shoe !! People have different shaped feet and some of your BMs may be really uncomfortable in the shoe you pick out - and really, nothing sucks more than being stuck in (1) an uncomfortable shoe (2) for an entire wedding (3) that you didn't pick out, and (4) were forced to pay for.

I think it would be a good idea to either match the shoes to your wedding theme colors or to go with a metallic color if not black. But I agree with the other posters. They should be able to choose the shoe they'd like to wear but if you don't trust their judgment, ask them to show you first. NO skyscraper heels or old, banged up ones.

If this dress is choice for them/i understood so/then you should be carefully about shoes/it could be sandal/;i prefer soft color/not black/maybe white with addition of an ornament /whatever it to be,flower or something other/in the same hue as dress.

not sure what your colors are for your wedding but you could have the girls wear pumps that match the other colors you've chosen. I'd avoid black silver or nude... too plain. I'd go with something that pops out like white, yellow or blue. But also something they can enjoy using other days besides the wedding.

Mismatched is fashionable. I always think coordinated looks really tacky. They're already wearing the same dress, so why not have the wedding party look a bit more fashionable and styled and have them wear different shoes? And, in my opinion, black, gold, silver, or nude are just boring. Go for a color.

i wouldn't let them choose their own will end up looking mismatched when everyone would otherwise be looking polished...asking someone to buy a black or nude shoe under $100 is okay because they can be worn again!!

I agree with most posters. Let them choose there own shoes. Just give them a style and colour preference. If you really want a uniform look, maybe find one shoe you really like and ask that they find something similar but don't force them to buy one particular shoe. is a really good resource for everything fashion related.

i think black suede heels would look great. I think its tacky when the bridesmaids were the typical metallic sandals. This dress has an edge so i think you should go with it and find shoes that will complement it.

Silver strappy heels from Payless Shoes like those on the link below. Sexy, modern, inexpensive, and easy for your bridesmaids to pick up.

I'd say silver or black, and give them a style- open toed, strappy, whatever you prefer. then let them choose the exact shoe. you can even suggest a couple, to give them an idea of what to look for. I told my girls to wear whatever they wanted, and almost all of them wanted suggestions etc. That way they have an idea of what you are looking for but can find something in their own price range. I dont think black is too bad, especially if they are strappy, it will go great with that color and everyoen wears black, even in the summer. good luck!

Let them choose whatever they want. I guarantee that within days (maybe even hours), you will have no idea what shoes your bridesmaids wore.
