I'm no good at this ... I grew up with the adage that mixing prints was a HUGE no-no!!! I have no eye for it.

I live for mixing stuff that no one else would mix, but I know I am in trouble when someone says "only you could get away with that." That usually means "You cannot get away with it either!"

I really don't buy a lot of prints it's just not my thing but I do think that it can be done well and I told myself I'll do it one day. You just have to have two prints that go together and make sure that they both aren't over-powering.

I don't do it because I can't pull it off, but I think other people pull it off really well. :)

I don't think I have the joosch to pull off mixing prints. It's like wearing hats - you can or you look like you are trying too hard. . . yes?

i mix subtle prints - not loud prints, but even then - not very often. it needs to enhance the other, not distract.

I'm not so great with mixing prints. My husband does it all the time and he looks a little crazy to me when we go out.

If youre gonna wear a print, a good rule of thumb is to match it with something solid that will highlight the print itself. Otherwise there is too much going on.

i prefer solids most of the time...

i think you can.. on some occasions.. it all depends on the prints and how its done... etc etc ... but i definitely think its possible!

yes but i think doing the mixing subtlely is the right way not to look like a fool. in other words choose own printed clothing piece to be the center of the attention AND then choose another printed clothing piece that is of neutral color or not as crazy as the chosen center piece of the wardrobe.

Yes, but extremely delicate procedure.

Yes when I'm in a Harajuku state of mind I'll get crazy like a plaid jacket with argyle knee socks or something fun like that. My hubby loves it. It's so fun, why not do it?

I don't know how to do it without looking like a clown :) So, I don't.

If you know what you're doing, you can pull it off. But ONLY if you know what you're doing...otherwise no way jose!
