Barneys New York Celebrates Carine Roitfeld
>> In celebration of "Carine's World," the Fall 2011 campaign Barneys did in collaboration with Carine Roitfeld, the retailer hosted the stylist's nearest and dearest at Westway, the converted former strip club space in downtown New York.
Guests like Alexander Wang — who stopped by before his own party around the corner, Terry Richardson, and Karlie Kloss enjoyed Roitfeld's favorite drink, Testarossas, and the bounty of the taco truck she requested be stationed outside; there were even rumors of a Kate Moss appearance (although that never came to fruition).
As the party revved up, Roitfeld took the platform for a karaoke rendition of George Michael's "Careless Whisper"; Simon Doonan followed with "Nasty Girl." Later, Roitfeld followed up with Carly Simon's "You're So Vain." And when Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti arrived later on, Valentino got on stage to sing "Unforgettable," doing "My Way" for an encore.
