Carine Roitfeld has been named the global fashion director of Harper's Bazaar, a role she'll take on in addition to her work as the editor in chief of CR Fashion Book.
Roitfeld's work will start appearing in the March 2013 issues of the magazine, which has 26 editions internationally. She'll collaborate with the magazine's creative director, Stephen Gan, on several stories a year for various editions, and she'll also work on covers of some international editions. In addition, Roitfeld will contribute "her own unique take" on seasonal trends.
"I am thrilled to be contributing to Bazaar, a brand with a rich history of creativity," Roitfeld said in a statement. "Working with Stephen and a roster of talented photographers will be a wonderful collaboration and one that will give these stories a truly global audience."
