Carolina Herrera Bridal Fall 2014: Long Story Short
Above the waist, the Fall 2014 collection was classic Carolina Herrera: ladylike, demure, crisp, and just plain pretty. Below the waist, that's where things changed. Taking a modern departure from her mermaid skirts and ball gowns, the iconic designer shortened her hems for dramatic results.
Herrera's first collection to consist entirely of cocktail and tea-length dresses was intended to supply "unique options for every event surrounding a bride's wedding, from rehearsal dinner to the reception," she said. With 10 silhouettes that ranged from Bianca, a jewel-encrusted, illusion-neckline party dress, to Bettina's just-above-the-ankle floral appliqué design, brides will have no difficulty finding occasions to wear these feminine numbers.
