Forget the Met Gala — Chanel Just Brought the Fashion Party to Cuba

The fashion crowd's had a busy week — and it's only Wednesday. But on the heels of Monday night's epic Met Gala [1], Karl Lagerfeld staged Chanel's 2017 Resort Collection [2] in Cuba on Tuesday, bringing industry heavyweights along for the ride, and in candy-colored vintage cars, no less.

The historic runway show was a celebration of color and 1950's Havana references, all finished with tell-tale signs of quintessential Chanel [3]. Before we get to every look, take a minute to admire the scene, the models, and the celebs. Herein, everything you need to know.

The invites were right on theme.

Guests were transported in rainbow-colored vintage cars.

Gisele dressed the part.

The clothes were signature Chanel with a retro Havana tilt.

And clearly perfect for dancing.

The looks were appropriately finished with Panama hats.

Some models wore berets.

Chanel's signature cap-toe could be spotted on the shoes.

But the most covetable item? Those Coco tees!

They were spotted a few times on the runway.

Still, there were plenty of dresses perfect for the red carpet.

And we can't forget all those stripes.

A gown and a fedora? We're into it.

These looks were simply classic.

Lindsey Wixson channeled the vibe.

And plenty of top models, like Romy Schonberger and Maartje Verhoef, walked in the show.

The cars doubled as part of the set.
