If a designer told you that a trip through his ominous-looking metal machine would turn you into a chic and colorful fashion plate, would you go? That's more or less the proposition of Chanel's latest film, Fashion Machine. It's also — and this is nifty — a really strong metaphor for the work ethic of the house's creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, but we digress.
In the video, a group of models including Jamie Bochert, Lindsey Wixson, Soo Joo Park, Nadja Bender, and Ming Xi are sent down the machine's chambers only to emerge in living color, dressed in Lagerfeld's Pre-Fall 2014 collection. Take a look at the video here, and be sure to catch the Kaiser's first hand-waving appearance at 1:36.
