This Is the Staple Piece Chrissy Teigen Slips On For a Good Steak Dinner

We love Chrissy Teigen for a number of reasons: she's freaking funny, she loves food, and she seems like a cool and nice person. Also, she is sensible. She proved the latter point to be true on Thursday night when she and her husband, John Legend, had a big night out in New York City on Thursday — and she wore the most versatile outfit pretty much ever.

After attending the premiere of the new Broadway show Turn Me Loose, it was, of course, time for dinner. Chrissy and John reported to the Bowery Meat Company, where they greeted their friend the chef Josh Capon. Chrissy shared a moment with the chef on Instagram, posting a photo of their dinner party . . . and a massive tomahawk steak. "Last night in NYC," she captioned the shot. "So happy to see our friend @chefcapon at @bowerymeatcompany. We missed you and your tomahawk chops!"

Anyone who has ever dressed for a multistop night out knows that it's a fun challenge to pick an outfit that works just about anywhere you go. And that's exactly what Chrissy did with the help of her stylist, Monica Rose, (as well as her makeup artist, Allan Avendaño, and hairstylist Laura Polko). Chrissy wore that New York staple, black, in the form of a chic wrap dress with black heels and a black clutch. It was simple, sleek, and fabulous.
