It looks as if Christopher Kane has been designing with the women of "Advanced Style [1]" in mind, as well as the "rare bird of fashion" herself, Iris Apfel. On Monday, he channeled "granny-chic" vibes for his Fall 2016 show during London Fashion Week.
Models wore silky bonnets reminiscent of rain hoods with floral slips or pretty, pleated skirts. The collection also included classic fur coats, teddy jackets, and knitted flower cardigans. Spectacles swung on chains, glittering brooches brightened woolen scarves, and feather trim complemented button-downs and booties. A wild pop of orange broke up the collection, leading to striped polo necks and skirt combos, exotic embroidery, and monochrome ribbons.
