Come Fab Finding With Me: Posh Pirate

Shiver me timbers...ahoy, lassies, have I got a Fab Finding for you! One of your fellow readers was invited to a pirate-themed birthday party this month, in the spirit of Halloween. There's no dress code, except that she wants to look fashionable, yet festive.

I'll start you off with this Thomas Wylde Black silk skull pattern scarf, $114, because every stylish pirate needs one! Come back and tell me when your Fab Finds are up and tag them with pirate party.

Oh! Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits with and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab Finding missions.

As usual, I did mine before checking out what everyone else did, and as usual, I didn't really follow the same lines. (ie. I went a little more literal on the theme here.)

When I do themed parties - I DO themed parties. So I went all out here. Started with the corset style top dress because I couldn't get Keira's character in Pirates out of my head. Then went with the flap booties. I saw a great pic of Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in an awesome trench, so I used a modern and feminine trench coat. He was also wearing a messenger-type bag so I think this bing bang one is way more fun! Then the jewelry. Pirates love their gold and love to be flashy, so I didn't skimp on accessories (notice the hot skulls on the earrings! it's so subtle yet perfect!) Have fun!

I would unbutton the buttons on my jeans maybe one or two to make them look more undone. And I would stack the bangles. Here it is:

hey allytta, you shouldnt be embarassed to wear your scarf. who cares if its emo? if you're not emo, then people will see that you don't care about those silly things like "its so last year" and that your style and opinion should come above "what's in"!

are sculls still in? i discovered them 3,5 years ago, now it's too emo and out-of-style. i have a great scarf and frankly i'm ashamed to wear it anymore.
