Photographer Mario Testino — founder of the MATE Asociación charity — has created a capsule collection exclusively for Net-A-Porter called Mario Testino for MATE. The lineup includes colorful caftans, printed t-shirts, totes, and clutches. The jewelry was designed by Vicki Beamon, and is a direct interpretation of Peruvian craftwork. Worth noting: a percentage of each purchase will be donated to Testino's charity.
The tops and totes feature abstract and enlarged photographic prints from Testino's Alta Moda exhibit, which opened in April in Avenido Pedro de Osma in Lima, Peru. Alta Moda is a series of photographic portraits of Peruvians wearing traditional and festive attire from the mountainous region of Cusco, and to create the exhibit, Testino made several trips to Cusco over a five-year period.
